Painting
a blank canvas or wandering around city streets with a camera
in hand gives me the most important ingredients when I'm creating
art: spontaneity and freedom.
My palette — whether using paint, a camera, or a computer
is strongly influenced by the unlimited sights, sounds, and colors
of the city. From my photographs of cityscapes and graffiti
to my face paintings and abstract digital pixelations —
I work to capture the gritty texture of the city and to express
the layers and sensations of the urban experience.
I
get inspiration and ideas from: cities, street art/graffiti, music,
technology, globalization, politics, the media, and art's effect
on our culture.
